Description
A collection of short stories by 30 southern African women writers, some established and well known, some new writers. Contributers come from Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Botswana, Malawi, Mocambique and South Africa. All the stories are in one way or another related to the theme of the Bed. The collection has a wide range of kinds of stories, some are funny, quirky and strange; while other stories are tragic, violent, and sad. Writers include Joanne Fedler, Rosemund Handler, Liesl Jobson, Sarah Lotz and Arja Salafranca. The publication of this book was supported by the Arts and Culture Trust.

LAURI KUBUITSILE is a full time writer who lives in Botswana. She has published children’s and youth books, as
well as many short stories. She has won prizes for her adult short fi ction and her youth books.
JOANNE HICHENS is a crime fi ction writer, editor and journalist. Her books have been published locally and
abroad. She has an MA (Creative Writing) from UCT.
